CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child 2025 is an opportunity offered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide financial assistance to single female children who have passed the Class 10 examination from any CBSE-affiliated school. The award is intended to assist deserving unmarried female students who wish to pursue higher education and are their parents only offspring. For a maximum of two years, the chosen students would receive ₹1,000 per month in financial aid.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Indian national
  • Single female child
  • Secured 70% or more marks in the first five subjects in the Class 10 examination
  • Studying in Class 11 and 12 in a CBSE-affiliated school where the tuition fee is not more than ₹3,000 per month
Benefit
  • A scholarship of ₹1,000 per month will be given to the selected female students for a maximum period of 2 years.
Selection Criteria
  • The selection of the candidates will be based on their academic merit.

Documents Required
  • Duly filled and attested affidavit (original) by the first class Judicial Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary
  • Attested undertaking by the school principal where the student is studying

Terms and Condition
  • The awarded scholarship will be renewed for 1 year on successful completion of Class 11.
  • The renewal will depend on promotion to the next class, provided the scholar secures 50% or more marks in aggregate in the examination that determines her promotion to the next class.
  • If a scholar drops out of their current course of study before finishing it, or if they change schools or courses, the scholarship renewal/continuation will need to be approved by the Board first.
  • Scholarship once cancelled shall not be renewed under any circumstances. The decision of the Chairman of the Board will be final and binding in all such matters.
  • Any resultant dispute arising out of this scholarship scheme will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the court situated in Delhi/New Delhi only.
  • Incomplete/offline applications or hard copies of requests will not be accepted.
